book wreath - check

voila
this was easy
and i love it

you should make it tomorrow when your stuck in your house
because of all the snow

haha i wish

anyway, heres how you make it
find a book from your past that you don't care about anymore
well, you can care about it some

this book was really great
remember how novalee nation had her baby in wal-mart
and named her americus

rip the pages out

but a blue glue gun from the kid craft isle in target

twirl up the pages and hot glue them
make some longer

and make some shorter
so you get a jagged look

then glue them together mixing up the lengths

and hang it in your bedroom!

gotta love almost free/from the heart decorations

a husband that cooks

i have been sick since tuesday
but i have a sweet husband who takes care of me

hah, chan?
last night he cooked me grilled shrimp, mango and avocado

he went to the store to get the goods

and made this great marinade

then soaked the shrimp in it

and then grilled it all
and added some orzo
yummm

it was delish
but there were a lot more steps in real life
so don't make this unless you are very determined
cause its kinda hard

have a happy sleety night!

enigma of the day

rain blobs

my friend sarah showed me this list of enigmas that defy explanation
and this is one of them

here is the description-
The townspeople of Oakville, Washington, were in for a surprise on August 7, 1994. Instead of their usual downpour of rain, the inhabitants of the small town witnessed countless gelatinous blobs falling from the sky. Once the globs fell, almost everyone in Oakville started to develop severe, flu-like symptoms that lasted anywhere from 7 weeks to 3 months. Finally, after exposure to the goo caused his mother to fall ill, one resident sent a sample of the blobs for testing. What the technicians discovered was shocking – the globs contained human white blood cells. The substance was then brought to the State Department of Health of Washington for further analysis. With another startling reveal, they discovered that the gelatinous blobs had two types of bacteria, one of which is found in the human digestive system. However, no one could successfully identify the blob, and how they were connected to the mysterious sickness that plagued the town.

this is CRAZY
human white blood cells falling from the sky in gelatinous blobs?
i think i believe it
gross

see? your vote does count

thank you massachusetts
thank you for going out to vote even though it was chilly enough outside
for your toes to go numb waiting in line
it was worth it
cause it worked

confused? this is what i'm talking about
(if you don't have a tv or have been sleeping for the past two days
or if you hate the news or if you don't care
or if you have been in the british virgin islands on vacation)

yesterday the people of taxachusetts went out to vote for their new senator
democrats outnumber republicans 3 to 1 in the state
37 percent of registered voters are democrats
12 percent are republicans and
51 percent are unaffiliated

obama won the state by 26 percentage points in the 2008 presidential election
yesterday scott brown (R) beat martha coakley (D) by a very small margin

1972 was the last time a republican was elected to the senate from this state
in 1972 pink floyd debuted their album- dark side of the moon
that was a long time ago
this is a very blue state

but we live in america where anything can happen
this should motivate all "unaffiliated" non voters out there
to get affiliated and vote
because it matters!
you can turn a blue state red or a red state blue
you, yes you

 YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
