avocado solution




they get brown after you cut them
 and fast
and i always want to put them in a salad to bring to a dinner
so i bring the avocado and cut it at the persons house
which is not martha stewart like at all
not graceful and fret free
so i discovered a solution!



chop them up and dump them into the salad dressing
genius
the vinegar keeps them fresh
and even if they did turn brown you cant tell
well, if the salad dressing is brown
like mine always is :)

here is the recipe




my balsamic salad dressing:

3 tablespoons of good balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon of brown sugar (or honey if you prefer)
1 fresh clove of garlic (pressed)
2 shakes of herbs de provence (or basil, thyme and oregano mixed)
salt
pepper
8-9 tablespoons olive oil

mix together 1st 6 ingredients
SLOWLY whisk in olive oil and emulsify until slightly thick

making your own dressing will save you money
and make the salad 5 times more delicious
maybe 6 times more

  1. Or you could dice it up, put it in a separate container along with the big seed (the seed is like magic keeping the avocado green) then you can dump on the salad right before serving. Yummy dressing recipe!
