a lowcountry new years

i love charleston, sc

so much
it would be a dream to get to live there one day
 but for now we visit
and we visited to celebrate new years and our friend jonathans birthday!

here are a few things that we ate

five loaves is my number 1 choice in charleston
i mentioned this in my top 5 favorites of charleston post
you get huge portions that are amazing and unique
this turkey club had basil mayo and real turkey
like from thanksgiving

the husband got a veggie burger with a greek cucumber yogurt sauce

and spicy chicken and black bean soup

my friend whit got a classic blt with basil mayo and broccoli potato soup
all delish

then we went to the boathouse for dinner

the husband and the birthday boy (jonathan) each got one dish
with lobster, steak and crab cakes
and 2 sides
and wine
and dessert
a little much?
maybe, but it was a birthday celebration and new years eve combined!

thank you charleston for feeding us so well

and thank you moon for being so bright

and sun for being so glowy

and thank you jesus for creating food and beautiful things in the sky
