healthy omelet, stinky breath (guest post)

Hello! this is chandler, the husband
and this is my 150 Calorie Breakfast Omelet
I'm going to do my best to write this post in "Lauren" style:

this omelet is so yummy and healthy
but it will make your friends hate you
lots of onions and garlic
and the key ingredient
garlic chili sauce
yummm

first, caramelize some onions
here's how:
turn the heat on medium-low
(2 or 3 on your dial that goes to 8)
chop up 1/4 of an onion
once the pan is warm, add some oil
I use 0 calorie olive oil

Then, quickly add the onions
so the oil doesn't burn - yuck!
Stir the onions around every 30 seconds or so
so they don't burn
and so they get nice and caramelized
add a little more oil a couple of times during the process
if the temp is too low, the onions will only sweat
if it's too high, you'll burn them

in another pan
turn the heat on medium and add some fresh spinach
make sure there's a little water on them
so that they will wilt properly
stir them constantly until they are cooked down

back to the other pan
once the onions are caramelized add a clove of garlic
I like my garlic pressed but you can chop it finely
add some sea salt and cracked pepper
move the spinach to this pan and wash off the other one

turn the heat to medium on your clean pan (about a 4 on your dial to 8)
once it's hot, quickly and safely spray it with canola oil
then add 1/4 cup of egg whites
(you'll use another 1/4 cup in a second)
only 60 calories!
you can buy them in a carton

immediately add the onions, garlic & spinach medley
and some reduced fat feta cheese
spread them around and add 1/4 cup more egg whites
add salt and cracked pepper
cook for about 3 minutes
or until the egg whites in the middle aren't too soupy anymore
(don't be afraid to turn the heat down so you don't burn it)
then flip half of it on top of itself
cook for a minute
then flip it
cook for a minute or less

This is a good one to cook before church
sing extra loud
so everyone can enjoy your garlic omelet, too!

Thanks for reading,
Your guest blogger Chandler
